Welcome To Shoreline Journeys Travel In 2026
I always find the start of a new year a little strange. There’s this quiet space after the holidays where everything feels calmer, but your mind starts filling up with thoughts anyway. Not big resolutions or dramatic plans, just little things you keep circling back to. What you want more of. What you want less of. What you don’t want to rush this year.
That’s where my head is right now. I’m not trying to reinvent anything. I’m just looking at what already exists in my life and thinking about how I want it to feel as the year goes on. I have never been one of those people that makes New Year’s goals because I know that I will not keep them. Why disappoint yourself if you don’t meet those goals.

Instead, I am sitting here and thinking about how 2025 was: what I did well, but most importantly, what I can improve on. There were a lot of things this year that were a first for me: Hurricane Melissa comes to mind immediately. I cannot imagine what the people of Jamaica are going through. I did my part by donating to the Sandals Foundation. When we go to Jamaica in July, I definitely taking school supplies as part of Sandals Pack For A Purpose initiative.

Encouraging people to book their vacations at the Sandals and Beaches Resorts will help in recovery efforts, since tourism is a large part of their economy.
What I’m Hoping For With Shoreline Journeys Travel In 2026
Shoreline Journeys Travel feels settled going into 2026, and that’s something I really appreciate. It doesn’t feel brand new anymore, and it doesn’t feel chaotic. It feels like something that has found its footing, and now it’s about taking care of it and letting it continue to grow at a pace that actually makes sense for my life.
This year, I’m less focused on adding more and more, and more focused on doing what I already do well, consistently, and with care.
Keeping Sandals And Beaches Resorts At The Center
Sandals and Beaches Resorts will still be at the heart of what I do in 2026, and that feels right. These are places I know well and feel comfortable talking about because I’ve spent time learning them inside and out. I don’t feel the need to branch off into everything else just because it exists.
This year, I want to keep building on familiarity. The more time you spend with the same resorts, the more you understand what actually matters to people. You start to see patterns in questions. You notice what guests worry about before they travel. You see what little details make a big difference once someone is actually there.
That kind of knowledge doesn’t come from chasing what’s new. It comes from paying attention and sticking with something long enough to really understand it. That’s what I want more of in 2026.
By the end of the year, I want to feel even more confident answering questions because I’ve seen them come up again and again, not because I rushed to learn everything all at once.

Continuing Education Without Overloading Myself
Learning will always be part of this job, but I’ve learned that I don’t need to do everything at once to be good at what I do. In 2026, I want education and training to fit into my life in a way that feels manageable, not stressful.
That means choosing trainings and opportunities that actually help me do my job better instead of just adding to my to do list. It means learning at a pace that allows information to stick instead of feeling like I’m constantly trying to keep up.
While Sandals & Beaches Resorts is my main focus, I still want to learn more. What is on my education calendar for this year:
- Sandals & Beaches Wedding Specialist Refresher Training
- Barbados Specialist Training
- St. Lucia Romance Expert Certification
- Jamaica Romance Expert Certification
- Disney & Universal 2026 Trainings
- Holland Cruise Line Certification
- Norwegian Cruise Line Certification
- Silversea Cruise Line Certification
This is a small sampling of training I plan on participating in this year. And while my focus is not on cruising, I have a very close friend and client that is choosing to use me to meet their travel needs, and wants me to handle their cruises. So I am making it my priority to do the education for them so I can provide them the best possible service.
Keeping Communication Simple And Easy
One thing I want to continue in 2026 is keeping communication simple and comfortable. I never want Shoreline Journeys Travel to feel intimidating or hard to approach. I want people to feel like they can ask questions without worrying if it’s the “right” question.
This is where you can help me out. While I have my clients that have left me heartfelt and wonderful reviews, I still want to hear what I could have done better with your vacation. I also want to hear your feedback about the resort you went to. I pass this on to the team members for them to make things better.

Let’s face it, not every trip is 100% amazing. It never will be. But feedback is important, both good and not so good. And I welcome it so I can use it going forward. The feedback I get from clients helps me to improve the email sequences I sent to clients to help them prepare for their vacations.
Where The Blog And Website Are Going In 2026
The blog and website have become a place where I can take my time. They don’t feel rushed, and I want to keep it that way. Going into 2026, this part of my work feels steady and familiar, and I want to continue building on that. I think of the blog as a place where information can live longer than a social post and where topics can be explored more fully.
Writing Content That Actually Answers Questions
In 2026, I want the blog content to continue getting more detailed and more helpful. I want posts that answer real questions people have, not just surface level explanations. Topics that take time to explain properly and deserve more than a quick paragraph.
This year, I plan to keep writing posts that walk through things step by step, explain the why behind decisions, and share the kind of details people wish they knew sooner. I want readers to feel like they can settle in, read at their own pace, and come away feeling clearer than when they started. I want to continue to bring the most helpful content to my Sandals & Beaches readers to help them learn about the resorts before they go.

I don’t want content that feels rushed or generic. I want writing that reflects real experience and real conversations. As the year goes on, I hope the blog continues to feel like a reliable place to find answers without feeling overwhelmed.
What my intent includes:
- Posting 4 times a week
- Bringing you content that helps with packing tips, booking airfare, how to spend time on resort
- Personal reflections on a monthly basis instead of weekly. That leaves more open slots for helpful content
- Bringing in other content, like hotel recommendations with our US travel
If you have ideas for content that you would like to see, please leave a comment below. Sometimes ideas from someone else helps spark me to even more helpful content.
Making Small Changes To Improve How The Site Feels
There will also be some small changes to the look and layout of the website in 2026. Nothing drastic, just little updates that make things easier to read and navigate. This is about improving flow and comfort. Making sure things are easy to find. Making sure pages feel clean and not cluttered. I want the site to feel welcoming and easy to spend time on.
These updates will happen slowly, and that’s intentional. I like making changes carefully instead of all at once. By the end of the year, I want the site to feel even more natural and easy to use. Because I have more content than I did last year, I want to make navigation easier for you to find what you are looking for.
Personal Life Goals I’m Carrying Into 2026
As much as I enjoy planning and creating, 2026 is also about paying attention to my personal life and making sure it doesn’t get pushed aside. I’ve learned that balance isn’t something you achieve and check off, it’s something you adjust as life changes.
Not working outside the home has really made a big difference in my life. So I want to make sure that I continue being able to do that. Finding new ways to market my business is actually a personal goal of mine. And that includes putting myself in front of the camera, both here at home and while we are on resort, and sharing about the resorts I am visiting.

Makes me nervous thinking about it, but it is something I really need to do if I want to be able to continue in this business. After all, seeing a resort does so much more when it’s time to book someone and I want my clients to be able to see themself enjoying their vacation.
Making Room For Personal Travel That Feels Enjoyable
Travel will always be part of my life, but in 2026 I want personal trips to feel enjoyable, not packed or rushed. I don’t need to see everything or do everything. I want trips that allow for rest, conversation, and time together.
Sometimes that means returning to places I already love. Sometimes it means trying something new. Either way, I want travel to feel like a break, not another schedule to manage. When I come home from a trip, I want to feel rested and happy I went, not like I need another vacation to recover.
On Our Travels For 2026
At this moment, we only have a few trips for 2026 planned. With that said, it could change as I am open to new ideas and experiences. Some of my goals for travel for 2026 include being invited to some Sandals & Beaches events for resort openings or even for award ceremonies.
But let’s get into where we are going in this new year:
Personal Travels
This is our travels we are going on personally this year. (Although, I will still probably work on the Sandals trips, LOL)
- Sandals Halycon Beach: this is our free week at Sandals Resorts as well as our anniversary trip
- Wildwood, NJ: Our annual extended family vacation
- Sandals Antigua: Group trip with our Sandals besties
- Possibly Camden Yards: This is still in the planning phase, but we are looking to attend an away Phillies game

Professional Travels
As part of my professional trainings, site visits are required to maintain your certifications. This year we are opting to go back to Sandals Dunn’s River. I am beyond excited about it because I already know how wonderful this resort is!

Wrapping Things Up Without Being Too Emotional
As I wrap up this post, I continue to be thankful for all the opportunities that being a travel agent gives me. From being able to work from home, to sharing my excitement with my clients when we are in the pre-planning stages, even those early mornings when I am up early monitoring client flights. Every part of it makes it worthwhile.
I am also extremely grateful for the relationships I am building with my clients. I love hearing their excitement when they reach the resort and see their room. Or that they contact me with questions, no matter how big or small. But, most importantly, when they rebook for another trip and want me to handle their booking or if they have used me before, they reach out to book something else. All the work I do has even more meaning, and it’s why I am here.
Here’s To 2026!
