Why Should YOU Vacation At Sandals Resorts?
Escape to paradise with a vacation at Sandals Resorts. Immerse yourself in luxury, enjoy world-class amenities, & unwind on stunning beaches. Let’s talk about why you should plan your next all-inclusive vacation to one of these amazing destinations.
We have been traveling regularly to Sandals Resorts since 2017. Prior to that, we enjoyed our first stay in 1997 for our honeymoon at Sandals Royal Jamaican (which is now called Sandals Royal Caribbean). In fact, we enjoy it so much that we have started visiting twice a year.
Life goals would be to be able to fit in a third trip sometime, but shhhh, don’t tell my husband that!

If you feel overwhelmed with all the choices of destinations for Sandals Resorts, don’t worry. There is a great tool to help you narrow down your choices on their website. Or better yet, start a conversation with a travel advisor that can help you decide which resort is right for you.

You will find a Sandals Resort on 8 islands in the Caribbean at this time. Several of them have multiple resorts, which allows you to stay at 1 and play at all. It is a great way to experience each resort, even if you can’t stay there. There are 16 total resorts available to you, each one is unique in its offerings.

So many destinations, and each resort has a unique feel. I have been to many of these islands and resorts, and I can help you decide which one you would like to visit.
Quality Inclusions When You Vacation At Sandals Resorts
One of the best things about staying at a Sandals Resorts is all the inclusions that come with the price of your room. Because of this, you can try many different things you wouldn’t normally try because you don’t have to worry about paying extra. Want 2 appetizers? No problem. Can’t decide between 3 desserts? No worries! Just order them all, it’s all included.
Island Excursions Available With Island Routes
While the resorts themselves are amazing and you probably won’t want to leave, there are options for those that want to venture out and explore the island. Island Routes is Sandals Resorts partner for bringing you activities off-resort. A word of note, these excursions are extra and vary in price.
Many Watersports Are Included When You Vacation At Sandals Resorts
Do you like to spend a lot of time playing in the ocean? Sandals Resorts has tons of options for you that are included in the price of your stay.
- Waterskiing & Wakeboarding*
- Tubing*
- Kneeboarding
- Aquatrikes
- Snorkeling
- Glass Bottom Boats*
- Hobie Cat Sailing
- Windsurfing
- Paddleboarding
- Kayaking
- Scuba Diving for certified divers**
*Motorized water sports are not available at all resorts
**If you are not certified, there is a course that is available at an extra cost to get you started on that journey
When we went to Sandals Dunn’s River in September 2023, one of the included watersports was tubing. While we did not find time to do it ourselves, we heard from other guests who did it and they had a total blast! We spent many a late afternoon in our skypool suite watching the tubing, and it really did look like fun.
Whatever you decide to do, it’s included!
Amazing Restaurants & Unlimited Drinks Await You
I think this is my favorite part about Sandals Resorts: the included food and drinks. And the fact that I can try something new, and if I don’t like it, I don’t feel bad about asking for something else. Like I mentioned earlier, sometimes the choices are hard to decide, so I try both.
And it doesn’t cost extra. It is a great way to be able to stick to a budget if you need to have one.
Here are a few of the dining options you could find at any of the resorts:
- Zuka: Latin Fusion
- La Parisienne: French
- Isola: Pizzeria
- Bombay Club: Indian
- Tesoro: Italian
- OK Corral: Southwest
This is just a fraction of the restaurant choices available. Each resort offers a different selection, but I admit I do have my favorites. One of which is the Jerk Shack at any of the resorts and Mario’s Italian restaurant at Sandals Grande Antigua.
Unique Room Accommodations For Every Budget
Sandals Resorts offers 3 different levels of room accommodations. If you don’t plan on spending a lot of time in your room or if you don’t need room service, there are some great luxury level rooms available. Keep in mind, luxury level requires you to make dinner reservations at the culinary concierge desk.
If you enjoy room service or spend more time in your room, you might want to consider a club level room. That is the room level that my husband and I generally stay in. You will find different levels of club rooms as well. I really enjoy having a swim up room, and that is what I tend to book. There is nothing like late afternoon or night swimming in your pool.
And for the ultimate level of luxury, you can choose to stay in a butler or love nest suite. From private rondovals to skypool suites, even private bungalows on the beach. With enhanced room service, customized room bars, and butlers who will reserve pool or beach chairs for you, it is the best way to pamper yourself.
Our first butler experience was at Sandals Dunn’s River, and I also just booked us in a butler room for Grenada in 2025, and most likely in Antigua for 2026. I am also booking butler at Sandals Royal Caribbean for our 30th Anniversary (and another Retie the Knot) in 2027 and am seriously considering butler level for my birthday in October of 2027 at Sandals Halycon.
Since I have stayed in a variety of room levels, I can help you narrow down your choices to find the best match for you. Butlers are an exception to the Sandals Resorts tipping policy, so be sure to budget in cash tips for their hard work.
