Time To Travel: July 2025 Edition
Wow! How is it July already? Time has been moving so fast lately. I am not sure it’s because we are traveling more than we normally do, or if time really is speeding up. In any case, we just got back from vacation this past week, and are heading out again in 2 weeks!
Hubs and I are heading to Sandals Royal Bahamian for the first time to do a site inspection and travel agent learning experience. The past few weeks have been following the same pattern: travel, laundry, repack the suitcase, repeat. I am really loving it though, and feel like I am combining my passion for travel with the career I never knew I wanted.

June was such a busy month for me with the travel business. I celebrated my one year anniversary of this website and completing travel agent training. I look back at it now and can’t believe how much has changed. And how much I love my life now.
What’s Going On In My World
Don’t get me wrong, I miss the bookstore and the time I spent as children’s lead. Those were the happiest times for me because I had a passion for it. When they dissolved that position, it just wasn’t the same. Becoming a travel agent has changed me in so many ways. The time that I have gained with my family can’t be put into words, and it means the absolute world to me.

A Brief June Recap
June started out fairly busy for me! I traveled to Las Vegas for the first time to attend the EDGE Travel Conference. It was such an amazing experience and lots of firsts for me. I will share more about it in a separate post, but I wanted to give a brief recap.
I learned so much while I was there, more than I was expecting. My favorite thing was being able to spend more time with the Sandals & Beaches personnel. As you know, Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts are the main focus of my travel business. I got to meet a lot of the people I only knew through social media or Zoom and it was the best.
For instance, I got to meet my agency’s BDM, Sandra.

I also got to meet Krysti & James from 2 BDM’s and a Mic, my favorite Sandals podcasters.

I also had the opportunity to mingle with the staff of Island Routes and learn more about why booking your clients with them is a great idea.
I stepped out of my shell and put myself out there a little more. I got to meet and network with agents from all over the States, and agents from my travel agency. It was so much fun!

This event is something I will attend again in a few years for the valuable experience it gave me. If you are a travel agent and you haven’t attended, consider doing it. Next year’s event is in San Diego and will be just as amazing!
We also just returned from our favorite Wildwood vacation, and it was another great vacation. Something special happened while we were there. My son brought his girlfriend with us and proposed to her and she said yes! So there will be a wedding to look forward to in the future. I am so happy for both of them.
