One of the fun things we did during out vacation to Sandals St. Vincent’s was to travel with close friends. We all took the tour together, so we thought we would share some of our honest thoughts about it. Here are a few things we wanted to share:
- Wallilabou Bay was small but a fun stop. As someone that loves Pirates of the Caribbean, this was my favorite spot. I do regret not running around yelling “I got a jar of dirt”. And I completely failed at getting Johnny Depp to smile.
- The botanical gardens and volcanic beach stops were just ok. I did enjoy having our guide help me pick out some volcanic rock as a souvenir. The history of the area was nice, too.
- Dark View Falls was the best part of the tour and probably could’ve spent a little more time there. I enjoyed the cold plunge pool, as it was a really warm August day.
- Lunch was a bit cramped but the food was absolutely delicious. Maybe a little bit more time there to relax as well.
- It was a long day so also not recommended for those who want shorter tours and a more easygoing time. Lots of on and off the bus, so if you have mobility issues, this is not the tour for you. Lots of climbing at the botanical gardens, and lots of rocks at the Falls, so that is something to consider, as well.
- Bring snacks as there were no stops that sold food and lunch was really late. They do provide water, but bring extras. They served some amazing rum punch after we were done at the Falls, as well as some local snacks throughout the trip.
