Seaside Haven With Shoreline Journeys: Easter Edition
Welcome to another Sunday everyone! Sending out Easter blessings to all who celebrate. Today’s post is going to be short and sweet, as I am spending the day with my family today and I plan on unplugging. It’s been a while since I have done that on the weekend, so I am making it a priority today after I finish this update.
I have to admit, it is absolutely lovely that I am not working outside the home anymore. As much as I loved the bookstore and working in the children’s department, it killed my soul a lot of times when I had to be away from my family on the weekends, especially on the holidays. Let’s talk about that a little bit more.

Since I stopped working at the bookstore, being home with my family has been so good for me. I didn’t realize how stressed out I was until I wasn’t, if you know what I mean. Trying to give 100% at home and 100% at work is not a realistic way to live. I was grumpy and tired, and not the person that I wanted to be.
I hate to admit it, but it has been such a refreshing change in so many ways. For instance, one of our favorite rock bands just announced a tour. It is so nice not having to request the time off or to change my work schedule to accommodate the concert. I can just….go. Or if we want to add an extra Sandals Resorts vacation with my travel agent points, we can just schedule it.

It’s been a wonderful experience. I have never been able to make my own work schedule before so it’s still a little new to me. Like when I get all my tasks done, I can just stop working if I want to. I haven’t been able to actually do that yet, but it’s nice to know that I have the option now that the weather is turning nicer.
Travel Plans For April & May
I am so excited that this week starts Travelpalooza 2025. I have never had a season where we traveled so much. First up is Chicago, where we get to watch two Phillies games. In case you are new here, my family and I are huge Philly sports fans.
Last year when we went to Beaches Turks & Caicos, we were in Miami for the night before our flight. The Phillies happened to be playing the Marlins, so we took advantage of it and got tickets to the game. We had such a blast and it was a great way to start our vacation.

When my husband broached the idea of heading to Chicago to see the Phillies, I was like, let’s do this! We are headed there shortly, so I will be sharing about our adventure in the coming weeks.
And rapidly coming up is our anniversary trip to Sandals Grenada. I am so excited for this trip, as we have never been to Grenada before. I have heard nothing but amazing things about this resort, and I am ready to experience it first hand. And, of course, I will be sharing about our experience here on the blog so check back often.
New On The Blog
I missed sharing Seaside Haven last week because I was busy with the family. Instead, I will be sharing all the new posts from the past 2 weeks. I scaled back a bit on my posts because I have been busy preparing my clients for their upcoming vacations.

My goals during the busy travel season is to have 3 new posts per week regarding our travel adventures. While posting more frequently has always been my intention, I would rather bring you quality rather than quantity. Once travel is over for the year, I will move back into daily postings.
Well, that’s all for today! I have a few posts this week that continue my Beaches Turks & Caicos series. I am headed to spend the day with my family, and will be disconnecting for the rest of the day. May you have a wonderful Sunday!
