Seaside Haven With Shoreline Journeys: April 6th Edition
Oh Spring, where have you gone? You didn’t have to take the sunshine with you, as well! It’s another Sunday and I am hoping on to say that I am in desperate need of warmth and sun. You would think that after 52 years, I would be used to PA and the weather.
Yeah, it still makes me complain. After all this time. If you have known me for any length of time, Winter and pseudo-Spring are my least favorite time periods, as I thrive on warmth and sunshine. It’s part of the reason why I love my new job, because the islands give me both things.

I am so excited to be getting closer to our Chicago vacation. The Phillies are playing well, at least at this point in time, and I am so ready to see them in person. I am also excited that while we are in Chicago, we are meeting up with old friends who will be joining us.
We haven’t seen them since our last visit to Wisconsin in 2013, and it makes me really happy. It’s crazy to think that we let this much time pass without reconnecting. Life got so busy, and we let things slip. It will be the best way to kick off our 2025 travel plans.
Let’s Talk More About Our 2025 Travel Plans
Since you already know one of our trip locations, let’s move on to the next one. We are traveling to Sandals Grenada this year to celebrate 28 years! I am so excited about this resort because I have heard nothing but amazing things about it. I just finished my butler preferences and sent them to the butler team.

Being away from the bookstore, it took me a while to decide on my vacation reads. I will share below what I am taking on this trip. Spending time in a lounge chair, with a good book and a cold drink, is my favorite vacation activity. Curious to know what I am bringing?
My Vacation Reads For Grenada:
- The Strawberry Patch Pancake House by Laurie Gilmore
- The Story of my Life by Lucy Score
I am only bring two books this trip, because I do have to do work on this trip, as well as monitor some clients that are traveling. I don’t want to bring extra books, because I leave the books in the Club lounge (well Sandals Grenada has a library) for others to read. Leaves me room to fill the suitcase back up with souvenirs.
Once we get back from Grenada, I have a short break, and then I am off to Las Vegas for a travel vendor conference. This is my first trip as a travel agent, and I am really looking forward to learning from others and making some new connections. It’s my first time to Vegas, so I have lots of things to look forward to.
And later that same month, we head to our favorite family vacation spot: Wildwood NJ! Here are a few of our favorite spots:
- Discovering the Heart of Wildwood Dining at Dogtooth Bar & Grill Wildwood
- The Best Spots On The Wildwood Boardwalk (At Least According To Our Family)
- Little Italy Restaurant in Wildwood Crest NJ: Discover Culinary Delights In An Inviting Atmosphere
- Sip and Savor the Best of MudHen Brewing Company Wildwood NJ
- Le Voyageur Motel In Wildwood NJ: What You Need To Know

This year is going to even more special, but I can’t talk about it yet! Check back later in the Summer to find out why!
After Wildwood, in just a few short weeks, John and I are heading to Sandals Royal Bahamian for the first time. This is my first opportunity to travel to Sandals Resorts on a working trip, so I am excited about that. I look forward to being able to learn all about the resort for my clients, and be able to post some amazing content for my readers.
Have questions about Sandals Royal Bahamian? Leave me a comment on this post and I will be sure to answer them when I am there. If you aren’t already following me on Facebook, please do! I need to have 100 followers in orders to do Facebook lives, and what a great resort to do it at!
Once we are back from the Bahamas, we have a short break before we jet off to Sandals St. Vincent’s! I am so excited about this resort, because we are in a favorite room category of ours. If you guessed swim up, you are totally correct! This resort is part of the new next level offerings for Sandals Resorts, and we can’t wait. Even though it is a personal trip for us, I still plan on doing some work there. I will have a whole series about the resort, similar to my Beaches Turks & Caicos series.

Whew! I am excited and tired just thinking about it all, but I really can’t wait to experience all of them!

A Look Ahead For Shoreline Journeys
Now that I have shared what I have done, coming up I have a few more days of our Beaches Turks & Caicos vacation, and then I will dig deep into our Sandals Royal Curaçao vacation. I realize that there is so much more than just my general resort review that I did on my old blog, that I need to dig deep and get some of that done.
You can expect some of that content when we are on vacation, so stop back and check in! I guess that’s all for today, time to go get ready for lunch. Have a wonderful week!
