Seaside Haven With Shoreline Journeys: Snowmageddon 2026 Version
Happy last Sunday in January! As I mentioned in my plans for 2026 for Shoreline Journeys Travel blog, my weekly Sunday recaps on a personal nature would be the last Sunday of the month. I felt like I wasn’t getting the engagement I wanted in order for the post to be useful, which is why it is now once a month.
I would love to say that I am spending the day on a warm tropical island with a drink in my hand as I help my clients prepare for their vacations. Unfortunately that is far from reality, and I am not liking reality at the moment. Why? Well, this is what I am dealing with right now.

The storm is in the early stages, and we are predicted to get 12-18 inches when all is said and done. Can you just say yuck? It really does make me wish that I was at a Sandals Resorts right now. I have a sweet couple who is celebrating their delayed honeymoon headed to Jamaica and I am so completely jealous. Earlier this week, after looking at the weather report, I suggested they switch their one leg to head to Miami Saturday night instead of this morning, and I am so glad that I did.
Because they would have never made their connection, if we would have taken the chance. Their flight left over an hour and a half late, and they would have missed their plane. I stress enough the benefits of working with a travel agent who has been there done that with travel in the Northeast. So instead of a missed flight, they are comfortably in Miami awaiting their boarding call. Makes my heart happy!

What’s New In My World
One of the things that is new for me is I completed my Disney travel agent training, and now will be offering Disney travel planning. Like Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts, Disney planning services are complimentary and don’t cost you anything extra to use a travel agent.
I will say, I haven’t been to Disney World since 2016, so a lot of my Disney information is outdated on the website. In order to remedy that, I am headed down in April 2026, and plan on covering the following:
- Staying onsite at a Disney hotel that offers Skyliner service
- Trying the Disney Dining Plan for the first time
- Taking advantage of the Memory Maker
- Visiting all 4 theme parks plus Disney Springs
- Experiencing early entry and rope drop
That’s just a small smidge of what I have planned. While I know I won’t be able to cover absolutely everything, it will be a great start. My husband is coming with me to help with photos, taking notes, trying new things, and keeping me on track.
I know that there are a lot of Disney adults out there that love it, and I always liked it, but never got to go as much as I should have. I am really excited to go on this trip to learn more and bring the magic to readers. Feel free to leave a comment and share your favorites!
