Seaside Haven At Shoreline Journeys: September 14th Edition
Happy Sunday everyone! Today is a great day and we all know why! Yes, it’s game day for the Birds and a rematch of this past year’s Super Bowl championship. We know how that turned out, so I won’t say anything more. Well, nothing other than Go Birds!

Last night was a concert with the family at a venue about an hour North of our home with two of our favorite bands: Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. Breaking Benjamin started as a local band in PA, and that’s how we started listening to them. Almost 20 concerts later with them, and they are just as good.

I know it may sound silly that I keep repeating this, but you have no idea how happy I am to be home on Sundays with my family. Yes, I do answer emails or texts from clients on occasion, and yes, I do work on some website things, but I am still *here* and not at work. I can work and still be fully present and enjoy Sunday dinners and yell at the football games on TV. And it makes me content.
I Am Missing Travel Right Now
I know that’s only been a little over a month since our last Sandals Resorts vacation but I am missing it so much. Sandals St. Vincent’s was such a wonderful resort, with new food experiences and fun with friends. I took time off for myself and it really helped.
I am typically a huge homebody, so stepping out of my comfort zone and traveling more really made this Summer go incredibly fast. For the first time ever, I was looking forward to Fall and cooler weather. PA had obliged a bit, but Summer is back in full force here. Which makes me wish I was on an island sipping a cool drink right now!
I learned a lot on these trips about the resorts and what they have to offer my clients. I found some hidden gems and some things that were surprising (and sadly a bit disappointing), which I believe will help me in matching a client to the most ideal resort for them.

I have a client that just returned from their honeymoon yesterday, and the text messages I got from them meant so much. They truly enjoyed their time on resort and thanked me profusely for my help. It is definitely a great motivation to continue to work hard and continue to specialize in Sandals & Beaches Resorts!
I also helped another client get booked yesterday (yes it was Saturday, but the booking was an urgent request) to Grenada. Which is awesome because this month is dedicated to sharing all about Grenada and the resort. Such a perfect way to end a week!

A Change In Travel Plans
Our next trip was supposed to be Seattle in December, but after much discussion about the weather and how PA behaves in December, we decided that it we would skip this year and stay home. I was really looking forward to exploring a new city but I feel like it was the right decision for us. I am extremely sad about not going to the agency’s Christmas party, but I know there will be other opportunities.
What Does Travel Look Like In 2026?
I know most people are just starting think about their travel plans for 2026, but we are already fully booked for the year. We are planning a trip to Jamaica in March (not our normal time to travel) to use up some of my travel agent points, we have St. Lucia in May for our anniversary and our free week from Sandals, and a trip to Antigua in July with our favorite travel pals.
And, of course, our usual June to trip to our favorite beach town of Wildwood NJ. So you can see that 2026 has many adventures to look forward to, and that our time home between now and the next trip will be restful and relaxing.

I have a lot of clients traveling next year, so the majority of my time will be spent making sure they have everything they need to enjoy their trips, writing new content, and updating content that is currently on the website. As I mentioned in another post, I am working on redoing the aesthetics of the website to make it an easier browsing experience. If you have some suggestions, feel free to leave a comment so we can start a conversation!
New On The Blog This Week
After not writing a post for nearly a month because of being on back to back vacations, I put my head down and got back to work. I have posted daily for the past week, trying desperately to regain the momentum that I had. I know it will take some time to get my numbers back up again.
One thing I definitely need to do is write posts to schedule during the weeks before, during, and after a vacation to avoid it in the future. The trouble is, a lot of times I can’t think that far ahead, but no more. During the Winter, when the winds are howling and the snow is falling in PA, I will work on that. My goal is to post 5 days per week during most weeks, so hopefully that will prevent the numbers slump.

Ok, here are some of the new posts I shared this week:
- Caribbean Sunset Splash: A Rum Cocktail Recipe Inspired by Sandals Resorts
- Grenada Island Basics: What First-Time Visitors Should Know Before They Go
- Sandals Resorts Copycat Coconut Shrimp Recipe: Bring Paradise to Your Kitchen
- Why Grenada Is Known as the Spice Isle: A Flavorful Journey Through Its Spice Industry
- Sandals Sunrise Paradise Cocktail: A Copycat Sandals Resorts Inspired Recipe
- Celebrations and Festivals in Grenada That Will Make Your Trip Unforgettable
Well that’s all for today! Another wonderful Sunday off with my family and lots of football to look forward to! Have a wonderful week.

With our last trip of 2025 over I’ve started thinking about 2026 travel’s plans as well. We know we want to check out some national parks in Utah in March or May (depending on the college boy’s schedule) but I haven’t quite settled on what I want to do for fall just yet…
Fall travel is always the most interesting, especially if you are going somewhere you are outdoors. I definitely need to think about doing a foliage trip some year!
Fall travel is wonderful. I would love the see such pretty foliage. Thanks so much for sharing at Love Your Creativity.
Yeah, I can’t wait for the leaves to start changing here in PA. There is still a lot of green everywhere and it’s still 80 degrees most days. Have a wonderful week!
I came here from Linda’s blog and I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit! I think it’s wonderful that you work from home and help people plan their special destinations! I hope to read more of your posts and learn about these wonderful places that you are sharing and helping people travel to, blessings to you!
Thanks so much for stopping in Marilyn, so glad to have you here. I hope that you have a wonderful week!
