Seaside Haven At Shoreline Journeys March 9: Time-Change Edition!
Happy one week closer to calendar Spring! The reason I say this is that PA never wants to let go of the Winter weather once March 21st rolls around, so there are often days I still have to wear long sleeves and coats even when the calendar changes seasons.
Since today was time change, it’s just one step closer to warmer weather. Longer evenings are coming. I don’t mind the one less hour of sleep because I am alway up anyway, so I would rather have the longer evenings.

Yesterday my “baby” turned 24. Like oh my goodness, exactly how did that happen? Where did the time go? Am I really that old now? This picture was from our family vacation in September. As always, he is so thrilled to get his picture taken!

It’s been a busy week for me here at Shoreline Journeys. I spent a lot of time working on posts on the blog, updating old posts to make them more relevant, and working with several potential new clients. Also working on tax stuff (yuck!) and finalizing our plans for our Chicago trip next month.
In case anyone is new here, our family are big Philly sports fans. Last September when we went to Beaches Turks & Caicos, we stayed overnight in Miami before we flew out. It just so happened that the Phillies were playing the Marlins at the time, so we decided to take the plunge and go to the game. It was so worth it!
We stayed at the Courtyard Miami Airport hotel, and the Uber picked us up and took us right to the stadium! It was a short walk to get to the gates, and a very easy stadium to navigate. My husband didn’t even buy the tickets until we got to the hotel, and we still got absolutely amazing seats!

We enjoyed it so much that this year we decided to do a bucket list trip to see the Phillies play at Wrigley Field. It will be a fun way to support our team and see a new stadium. Stay tuned for more about that as we get closer to that trip.
New On The Blog This Week
This is the first week since I stopped working at the bookstore where I have had more time to dedicate to the website. I have updated a few posts, added a terms & conditions page to the website, and created a social media plan for the next several months. It is very satisfying knowing that I am doing my best to bring the most up-to-date content for my readers.

What’s Coming Up On The Horizon
This week I have some posts coming out from our trip to Beaches Turks & Caicos. One includes the Pirate’s Island Water Park, and the other is more about the Key West Village and why it’s perfect if you are traveling as adults instead of with little kids.
Wednesday I will be focusing on the newest 777 sales that are happening at the Beaches Resorts so you can start thinking about planning your Summer vacation. Rooms fill up fast, and now is the time to book before your preferred dates fill up.
More Random Thoughts I Am Having
It’s been nice getting the house back under control. I didn’t realize how far behind I was on cleaning and such until I started doing things. Retail holiday season really did a number on me, and I was so exhausted from doing things at work that I let my house go. It was bad.
Now that I am working from home, I am having more of a routine. Before I “clock in” at 9am for travel stuff, I do a quick clean up of all the common areas. I also throw in a load of laundry if it’s needed. No more laundry mountains. I still have to tackle the kitchen, which is always hard to keep up with.
I am thinking about getting my Spring decorations up, and I am ready for the weather to warm up as well. I love having the windows open, hearing the birds sings, and now that I have my work desk in a spot near a window, I can enjoy both of those things while doing what I need to do!
Okay, that’s it for today! It’s kind of bittersweet that today we are saying hosting a farewell to our church Pastor of 11 years. She is retiring and moving at the end of this month, but she has earned it. She was there for me when both my parents passed away, and I will never forget it.
And despite my bravado and happiness about time change, I think I am going to squeeze in a nap as well. Happy Sunday!
