And the other bonus is that you don’t get the airline noise because the resort is protected by several hills. If you walk up to the tennis courts, you can even see the runway and the Caribbean sea.
• Protected Cove Beachfront – Pink Gin Beach is calm, quiet, and swimmable almost all year. The cove setting keeps the water calm, so you can float, kayak, or snorkel right off the beach without needing to book a boat trip.

The Pink Gin Village is right on the beach. It is the heart of the resort and gives you direct access to the calm turquoise water that makes this area so famous. Rooms here are steps from the sand, close to the restaurants and bars, and have an easy energy during the day. Even though this is the most active section, the beach itself still feels peaceful thanks to its protected cove setting. Many guests love being able to bring their own snorkeling gear and see colorful fish right off the shore without booking an excursion.

The South Seas Village feels like a lush tropical garden. It is set back from the main activity areas and has some of the most private accommodations on property. The rondovals and pool sanctuary suites are here, and they are perfect for honeymooners or couples who want quiet time together. The pools in this section are smaller and more peaceful, which makes them great for relaxing with a good book or enjoying a quiet cocktail.

The beach is also beautiful for walks. While it is broken up into 3 main areas, it is still a lovely place to start your day. Many couples start their mornings here with a coffee or end their evenings with a quiet stroll under the stars. The sunsets are some of the best in Grenada, and you can enjoy them right from your lounge chair.

Once you have spent some time on the sand, you will probably want to see what the dining scene is like. Sandals Grenada is known for its variety, and it is worth exploring every restaurant at least once.

Dining and Bars at Sandals Grenada Resort

Dining is a highlight of any Sandals stay, and Grenada does not disappoint. With ten restaurants serving a mix of cuisines, you can try something new every day of your trip.

Butch’s Chophouse is a guest favorite for perfectly cooked steaks and a fine dining atmosphere. Soy offers freshly made sushi and is a great option before a late dinner or for a light evening snack. Le Jardinier serves French inspired cuisine in a garden setting that feels very romantic. Kimonos is lively and interactive, with teppanyaki chefs cooking right in front of you, and Neptunes offers Mediterranean dishes with a beautiful sea breeze.

There are six bars, including a swim up bar at the main pool where you can enjoy tropical cocktails while staying cool. Firepits and open air lounges create cozy spots to sip wine or enjoy an after dinner drink while listening to the waves.

After a great meal or a few cocktails, most guests like to spend a little time poolside. Luckily, there are five pools to choose from and each one has its own personality.

Pools at Sandals Grenada: Find Your Perfect Spot to Relax

One of the best parts of Sandals Grenada is the variety of pools you can enjoy during your stay. Each pool has a different atmosphere, so you can find one that matches the mood you are in that day.

The Main Pool in the South Seas near the pizza place is where most of the action happens. It has the resort’s swim up bar, music playing throughout the day, and plenty of loungers nearby. This is a great spot if you want a social atmosphere, pool games, and easy access to drinks without ever getting out of the water.

This is the spot we had our butlers set up our chairs at each day. I admit, we are more pool people than beach people, so it worked out well for us. We loved participating in the trivia games each day with the entertainment staff, there were restrooms close by, and the pizza place was nearby too. We enjoyed the music and spent time just floating and relaxing.

It was also the perfect spot to get to know people and learn more about them. We met several couples that were from our same area, and it was fun floating in the pool with a drink brought to us by our butler and talking about all the Sandals Resorts we have been to. I love hearing what other people love about their favorite resort, as it helps me match clients to the right resort for them.

If you prefer a quieter pool day, head to one of the smaller pools tucked around the property. The pool near the beach is quieter, and while it doesn’t have a swim up bar, it is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the sounds of the ocean.

There are also private pools connected to some suites, especially in the South Seas Village. If you book a pool sanctuary suite or rondoval, you can enjoy a completely private swim right outside your door. These are especially nice in the evening when you can pour a drink from your in room bar and enjoy a quiet night under the stars.

Guests also love the views from the Italian Village pools. Because these are elevated, you get sweeping views of the ocean while you swim or lounge nearby. If you are a sunset watcher, this is one of the best spots to end the day with a cocktail in hand.

We stayed in the butler swim up room in the Italian Village, and I feel like it was the best spot on property. We had the privacy of our own pool area, yet we had a view of the entire resort. We are planning on heading back there in 2028, and will be booking that same room.

After you have relaxed by the pool, you might be ready to plan an adventure. That is where Island Routes comes in with some of the best excursions in the Caribbean.

Island Routes Excursions from Sandals Grenada

If you want to explore beyond the resort, Sandals Grenada makes it easy with Island Routes excursions. Popular options include visiting the famous Underwater Sculpture Park, touring nutmeg and cocoa plantations, hiking to waterfalls, or taking a sunset catamaran cruise.

Booking through Island Routes means pick up and drop off are right at the resort, so you can relax and enjoy the day without worrying about logistics. It is a great way to balance time on the resort with time experiencing the culture and natural beauty of Grenada.

We don’t normally leave the property once we get there, but this time I want to explore the island. We did the half-day historical tour and it was the perfect excursion. My favorite place we stopped was a local spice rendering plant. We got to enjoy doing a taste test and I brought some of the spices home with us. We got to see a lot of the beauty of the island, and were back in time to enjoy lunch and then our favorite spot at the pool.

Once you have explored a little, you will probably want to return to your room to freshen up or spend some quiet time together. The rooms at Sandals Grenada have a charming, traditional Caribbean feel that makes them perfect for relaxing.

Sandals Grenada Rooms and Suites with Caribbean Charm

Rooms at Sandals Grenada have a traditional Caribbean style with rich wood furnishings and updated pops of color. They are comfortable and welcoming rather than ultra modern, which fits the relaxed setting of the island. In 2025, they renovated many of the Pink Gin Village rooms with an updated color scheme. They kept the charming Caribbean feel while make it brighter.

Luxury rooms are the most affordable option and typically include garden or partial ocean views. Club Level rooms give you concierge service and a more complete in room bar. Butler Elite suites include private pools, terraces, and personalized butler service. While Skypool Suites and Rondovals are no longer unique to Grenada, they remain some of the most dramatic rooms you can book and are still a big draw for couples looking for something special.
