Radisson Grenada Beach Resort- Deluxe King Suite Room Review
If you are planning a trip to Grenada and looking at staying at the Radisson, you may be wondering what the Radisson Grenada King Bed Room is really like. This is the most affordable room category at the resort, making it a popular choice for couples and solo travelers who want a comfortable stay while keeping their budget in check. In this review, I am sharing photos, details on the layout, bathroom, amenities, and everything you can expect so you can decide if this room is the right fit for your trip.
Grenada was a new island for us in 2025, so I wanted to experience as much as possible. When my husband and I travel to Sandals Resorts, it’s always a great adventure. The one thing that we learned is, while the resorts are amazing, you really need to take the time to explore the island and experience the culture. We started doing this by flying in a day early and staying at a local hotel. Something I highly recommend.

We stayed in this room before we headed to our anniversary vacation at Sandals Grenada because we wanted to have a full first day on resort. We also found that our first day is much more enjoyable if you aren’t tired from a long day of travel. I settled on this resort and room type after reading some of the review in the Facebook groups, and I wanted to share our impressions.
Before I go into a more in-depth look at the Radisson Grenada King Suite, let’s talk about some of the common questions you might have as a traveler wanting to book this hotel & room.

First Impressions When Walking Into The Room
Because I booked the lowest level room, I had no preconceived notions as to what to expect when we entered the room. The staff member that escorted us to our room and helped carry our luggage to the third floor was kind and helpful. He gave us a quick introduction to the room and the resort amenities before leaving us to get settled in.
The room itself was clean and comfortable looking, and nothing super fancy. We were only staying for one night, so we didn’t need anything other than a comfortable bed and a good shower. And that is exactly what this room provided for us.

How Comfortable Is The King Bed
The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a budget-minded room type. After a busy morning of travel, it was the perfect spot to just stretch out a bit and relax before we headed out to explore the resort and get something to eat.

We had plenty of pillows, an extra blanket, and plugs right next to the bed which was helpful for our electronics.

If I could have done one thing differently, I would have asked for an extra mattress topper. The bed wasn’t hard by any means, but it could have been a bit more cushy. That is just me though, I love soft and cozy beds when we are on vacation. It wouldn’t prevent me from booking this room again though.
Radisson Grenada King Bed Room Layout And Space
The space was really comfortable for what we needed it to be. If we were staying longer than 1 night and needed space to unpack everything, then a room upgrade to a better suite would make sense. But for us, it was the perfect layout.
You have a closet with a safe when you walk in.

You also have a small bench that was great to sit on when you were taking your travel socks and sneakers off and putting on comfy flip flops.

You will also find your mini-fridge and a small coffee station that is included in your room price.
There is also a nice desk area to work at, which was great for me to check my emails and communicate with my clients that were getting ready to travel and ready to head home.

It also had a cute & comfy lounge chair to relax on. We used it mostly for our luggage, since we didn’t bother to unpack because we were only there for one night.

You also had the dresser with the TV on top, and there was space to put things in drawers if you needed to.

Bathroom And Shower Details
The bathroom itself was very functional for what we needed to use it for.

The shower itself was nice and clean, and we had no problems with the shower pressure when we used it.

For a basic room, it was large enough and functional to use. There was no tub in the room, so if that is an important feature for you, definitely consider an upgrade to the beachfront suites.
Balcony Or Terrace And What You Can See
There was a balcony that overlooked the grounds, and included a table and chairs. We never used it, so I can’t comment on any noise issues, but it was nice to have.

In-Room Amenities At Radisson Grenada
Like most rooms, this king room comes with several useful amenities that can make your stay more enjoyable. One of the bonuses, in my opinion, is the included hair dryer available in the room. While it is not the best out there, it worked well for what I needed it for.
Here are some of the amenities you will find in the room:
- Free WiFi
- Garden View
- 37 inch LCD/Plasma TV
- Flat Screen TV
- Desk
- Dataport
- Hair Dryer
- Iron and Ironing Board
- Air Conditioning
- Safe
- Pillow-Top Mattress
- Coffee Maker
Now that you know more about what comes in the room, let’s move on to some important things you need to know about the room before you book.
Cleanliness And Overall Condition
Our Radisson Grenada King Bed Room was very clean and well-kept when we arrived. The floors, furniture, and bathroom were tidy and ready for use, which immediately made us feel comfortable after a day of travel. Everything in the room worked as expected, including the air conditioning, lighting, and mini-fridge, which is always a good sign when staying at a Caribbean resort.
One thing worth mentioning is that you are in the Caribbean, and bugs are simply a part of life in a tropical climate. Some of the doors do not have tight seals at the bottom like you might expect in the States, which means small insects can slip in. This is not a reflection on the cleanliness of the room, it is just a reality of being in a warm, humid destination where nature is close by.
Pro tip: If you notice a small gap under the door, roll up one of the bath towels and place it at the bottom before going to bed. This simple step can help keep the bugs outside where they belong and give you extra peace of mind.
Overall, the room felt fresh, comfortable, and functional. We had no issues with anything during our stay, which made it an excellent spot for a quick overnight visit before heading out to explore the rest of the island.
Noise Levels And Privacy
One of the first things many travelers wonder about when booking a room is whether it will be quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep. During our stay in the Radisson Grenada King Bed Room, we were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful it was. For the one night we were there, we did not hear any resort entertainment, loud music, or disruptive hallway traffic.
Our room was located toward the back of the resort, which likely helped keep noise to a minimum. This location meant we were farther from the main pool area and common spaces, so we didn’t hear chatter or splashing from early-morning swimmers.

Privacy was also very good. Even with a ground-floor terrace, we didn’t feel exposed to foot traffic or passing guests, which made sitting outside feel more relaxed. If privacy is important to you, consider requesting a room facing the garden rather than the pool area, as those tend to have fewer people walking by.
Overall, this room category felt like a quiet, restful retreat, perfect for those who want to relax after a day of exploring Grenada or spending time at the beach. Light sleepers should still request a room away from the pool or main walkways when booking to keep noise to a minimum.
Things To Know Before Booking
Choosing the right room category can make a big difference in your stay, so it helps to know exactly what you are getting with the Radisson Grenada King Bed Room. This is the resort’s entry-level room type, which means it is the most budget-friendly option. If you are looking for a clean and comfortable space that lets you enjoy all the resort’s amenities without paying for extra frills, this room fits the bill perfectly.
Keep in mind that the King Bed Room does not have ocean views. Most rooms face the gardens or pool areas, which can still be lovely but may not be completely private. If you prefer to be on a higher floor or away from the pool to minimize noise, make that request when you book. While requests are not guaranteed, the staff does a great job trying to accommodate them when possible.
It is also worth noting that this room is best suited for couples or solo travelers. The layout is cozy, so while it is a great place to rest at the end of the day, it does not offer as much space as the higher-category rooms and suites. If you know you will spend a lot of time in your room or prefer extra seating areas, consider comparing prices with the larger categories to see if the upgrade is worth it for your stay.
Finally, check whether your rate includes breakfast before confirming your booking. Radisson Grenada offers both room-only and bed-and-breakfast packages. If you love the idea of waking up to a hot breakfast every morning, it may be worth choosing the package rate rather than paying separately at the restaurant.
Quick Tips Before Booking:
- Consider upgrading if you want more space or plan to spend more time in your room
- Request a higher floor for a quieter experience and better garden or pool views
- Confirm your breakfast package before booking to avoid surprise charges
- Note this is the smallest room category, great for short stays or active travelers
- Ask for a room away from the pool if you prefer a quieter environment
Would I Book The Radisson Grenada King Bed Room Again
After staying in the Radisson Grenada King Bed Room, I can say it is a great choice if you are looking for a simple, comfortable place to stay while you explore the island. The room has everything you need for a relaxing vacation, and it is an excellent value if you plan to spend most of your time enjoying the beach and resort amenities. For travelers who want more space or a specific view, it might be worth looking at the higher room categories.
