Happy Thanksgiving 2025 From Shoreline Journeys
Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers at Shoreline Journeys Travel! It’s hard to believe that another year has passed so quickly. 2025 has been a big year of change for me, and as I write this post, it has given me so much to reflect on.
Normally I would be wishing that Thanksgiving would never end, not because of the day, but because the next day started the craziness that was holiday retail. I look back now and realize I wasted so much time not fully appreciating the day. This year is different because I know how lucky I am to be in a new career that allows me to be present with my family.

I thought I would take some time to share many of the things I am thankful for this year with my readers, my clients, and my friends who have supported me throughout the process.
I Am So Thankful To My Husband For Believing In Me & The Support From My Sons
I wouldn’t be sitting here with my family on this Thanksgiving day if it wasn’t for my husband. He was the one that encouraged me to believe in myself that I could do this job. When the opportunity to become a travel agent was presented to me, it was his encouragement and support that allowed me to take a leap of faith and move forward.
He knew how much I loved planning our vacations together at Sandals Resorts, so he saw it long before I did that I would be able to do this. He was the one that talked it over rationally and helped me get over my fears of starting over. I admit, I was really hesitant, given that I am not the Spring chicken I used to be. And I am so glad that I did, because I have never been happier!
Both of my sons have been amazingly supportive, as well. Cheering me on each time I got a new booking, and encouraging me when I would be in a bit of a slump. Knowing how much they cared helped me so much during this whole process.
A Thankful Shout Out To Honeymoon Always & 58 Stars Travel
I also would not be here today without Dan & Michelle of Honeymoon Always. Dan was the one that found me originally, and helped me to connect with my host agency. I was so excited when I got to meet them in person during our vacation to Beaches Turks & Caicos!
I also wouldn’t be able to do what I am doing without the support of my host agency, 58 Stars Travel. I found out after the fact during my interview with Mike that the video on my laptop wasn’t working and he didn’t see me the whole time.
I am so grateful that he saw past that and felt I had the potential to do well in the business because of my personal experiences with Sandals Resorts. So he took me on, I started my training program, and the rest is history! Even though this is my second Thanksgiving with the agency, I feel like this is truly my first because of the level of growth that I have gone through.
My goal when I started was that I would be able to transition into FT travel by June 2025. But thanks to their encouragement and training and support, I was able to make that move in February 2025. I admit, it was scary at first, but I am so glad that I did. For once, I didn’t listen to the doubts I was having, and I pushed forward.
I am happy to say that I have exceeded my sales goals for 2025 that I set for myself. Of course, with it being my first full year, it wasn’t hard because I had no idea what to expect. Now I am working on creating goals for myself for 2026, and they are much loftier. One of my goals is to be able to reach Chairman’s Royal Club status by the end of 2026. It is what I would consider my “stretch goal” for the year, but one I am going to try to achieve. Here’s hoping I can add this to my list of credentials soon!
So Thankful For My Clients, New & Returning!
And I also couldn’t be where I am without the clients who have entrusted me with their vacations. I have the most fun helping honeymoon couples that are looking for their perfect resort to start their new adventure together. Having spent our honeymoon at Sandals Resort, we know just how exciting it can be!
What means even more is the wonderful reviews many of my clients have left me. Over the course of the relationship, I have interacted with them all with helpful tips, reminders, and early mornings watching flights. I want them to have the awesome experience we do when we are on resort.
But the best part is the clients that are coming back to me for future trips. It means so much to me and I am enjoying the process so much. So thank you to everyone for booking with me and coming back for future vacations!
Thankful For Our Travel Adventures This Year
I did the most traveling ever this year. From our family travels, to my solo travel adventure for training, and travels with my husband, each one this year was just as special. It made me realize how lucky I am now that I can work from home and be able to take trips when we can.
I think my favorite trip this year was our vacation to St. Vincent’s with our friends.
But then again, Wildwood was amazing too!
And, of course, seeing the Windy City for the first time and getting to go to Wrigley Field was a definite highlight of this travel season.
And getting to meet fellow travel agents in Las Vegas was a pretty amazing experience, too!
And finally getting to experience Sandals Grenada for our anniversary was probably one of the best vacations, too.
As you can see, I definitely have a lot to be thankful for in 2025. For a change, I am enjoying the day instead of worrying about Black Friday shoppers.
