Seaside Haven With Shoreline Journeys: Final Sunday Of 2025
I still can’t fully believe that I am typing that this is the last Sunday in 2025! This year has been a year of so many changes, and time has just flown. I sit here at my desk and I look around at all my pretty Christmas decorations(yes, I am one of those people that will probably have their Christmas decorations up another week or two) and get emotional thinking how lucky I am.
If you would have told me this time last year that I really would be working from home and being my own boss and setting my own schedules, I would have said no way! But hard work and perseverance paid off for me and here I am. Being home with my family this holiday season has been so wonderful!

I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle this post. Was I going to make it just a reflection or a recap or something else? To be honest, even as I am writing it, I am not sure how it’s going to go, so we will just see how it develops.
So Thankful For My Clients And The Joy They Have Given Me
What can I say? I wouldn’t be where I am without them. I couldn’t do the things I do without them needing help. I love my initial booking calls as I learn more about the client and what they are looking for in their vacation. From Zoom calls to text messages, every question that they have helps me improve the services I provide and I appreciate it.
Throughout the course of the year, the feedback that I have gotten through the travel agent reviews means more that I can put into words. And I have learned new things with each vacation and that has helped me to improve my email series that I sent to clients over the course of the time from when they booked their trip until the day of travel.

The most humbling thing this year is that I am having clients that are coming back to me for their future vacations. Their confidence in me has been amazing, and I appreciate them continuing to book their vacations with me. And I will continue to help them with the future trips with the same enthusiasm of the initial one.
My goals for 2026 is to continue to build these relationships, to help clients rebook their next Sandals Resorts vacations before they even leave the resort, and to make them want to transfer those bookings back to me so I can continue bring the best possible experience for these wonderful people.
So Much Travel For Me In 2025
I am sitting here with a smile on my face, thinking about all our travel adventures this year. From family trips, to our anniversary vacation, to my solo trip to Las Vegas. Each one brought so much to my life and I am so thankful that we took them.
Now, just don’t ask me which one is my favorite, because I can’t honestly tell you which one I liked better. I mean I always love our Sandals Resorts vacations, but trying to pick between Grenada, the Bahamas, and St. Vincent’s, that is like asking who your favorite child is. Each vacation had a different feel and purpose, but they were all lovely. I can say that the butler swim-up at Sandals Grenada was my favorite room.

I just loved Chicago because not only was it a family trip, but we also met up with friends that we haven’t seen in years. Having only briefly been in Chicago for a food break for deep dish pizza, this was a great chance to explore and see more of the city.
We were also able to check off a bucket list item: seeing our Phillies play the Cubs at Wrigley Field. So worth the wait, even if we froze our buns off.

I can’t say enough about the Travel Leaders EDGE Travel Conference that I attended for the first time. Having never been to Las Vegas, it was getting multiple experiences in one trip. It was my first conference as a travel agent, so the amount of learning was phenomenal. Getting to meet agents from my agency was awesome too!

I am definitely adding EDGE to my travel plans in a few years. Now that I have a better idea of what to expect, I am definitely going to put myself out there more and work on new suppliers to supplement my business.
But the one closest to my heart will always be Wildwood. A simple beach vacation that has given our entire family multiple decades of memories, I mean, how do you compete with that? I am already thinking about being there in 2026, but let’s not rush 2026.

Taking A Look Ahead For 2026
What’s happening in 2026? I still have some travel planned, but not quite as much as 2025. Well, at least at the time of this post, it could absolutely change. I am open to new opportunities and locations, and places to visit.
I have some educational trainings I plan on working on during the month of January and February, as well as bringing some new content to the blog. I have my resort visits from last year that I am still working on sharing content from, and I have 3 Sandals Resorts vacations in 2026 for even more great resources. Stay tuned and keep checking back for content. I am also working on a new look for my homepage to make it easier to find what you are looking for.

Here’s to an amazing 2026, both in my personal life and for growth in my professional status. Wishing you all a wonderful New Year. New Year’s Eve will be spent at home with family, counting down the hours until 8 pm when the Stranger Things Season 5 final episode airs. If the second part of the finale is any indication, the last episode is going to be epic!
I am still trying to decide what I am doing with Seaside Haven. Do I continue it in 2026 or should this be the final edition? I would love if you would leave a comment and let me know what you think. Until the next post, thanks for stopping in.

It sounds like you had a really wonderful 2025 and I hope 2026 treats you just as well! As of right now we don’t have nearly as much travel planned either but since we’ll be sending a second kid off to college I’m holding back a little on purpose.
Hi Joanne!
As someone who has put two through college and finally paid that off, I totally understand that. Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have an amazing New Year!
Sounds like 2025 was a lovely year for you, with some wonderful trips. Grenada looks absolutely stunning. Happy new year and hope that 2026 will be a good year for you too. #project365
Hi Louise! Thanks for stopping in. 2025 was amazing and I am hoping 2026 is just as good. I wish you a wonderful year!
