Courtyard Miami Airport Hotel: What You Need To Know
Discover the perfect stay at Courtyard Miami Airport Hotel! This comprehensive guide offers all you need to know for an amazing Miami experience. If you are looking for a place to stay before a flight, this is a great place to stay.
One of my biggest fears when traveling is missing a connecting flight. When direct flights aren’t possible, connections can be a nightmare. After several trips of panicking about not making it, I decided a change was in order.
What we have decided to do now is to fly into our connecting airport the night before. It serves several purposes: first you can get into your departing airport at a decent time. This allows you to rest, eat properly, and get to bed early.
Second, you can cut down on missed connections by being where you need to be at the proper time. Once we started doing that, it decreased the stress a lot!
After all, vacations are supposed to be enjoyable.

Getting To The Courtyard Miami Airport Hotel
This was such an easy process. The hotel provides a shuttle that loops around every 20 minutes. If you have the Marriott Bonvoy app, there is a shuttle tracker button. When you click it, it shows where the shuttle is and the estimated time of arrival to your current location. Make sure you have location enabled on your phone and you can keep an eye out for it while you wait.
The shuttle bus is clearly marked, and when you are waiting at the shuttle point and see it coming, simply wave it down and you are good to go. It is a short 5-6 minute ride from the airport which is convenient if you had a long travel day.
Check-In At The Hotel
Thanks to the convenience of the app, I generally do my check-in when I am ready to board my flight in the morning. Since I have my credit card on file, it is a simple matter of just checking in at the desk, showing my ID, and we are all set.
It was no different here. The front desk staff was quick and efficient, and we were on the way to our room in a matter of minutes.
Champions Sports Bar At The Courtyard Miami Airport Hotel
Originally when we were planning this trip and making this reservation, we considered taking an Uber to a local mall to eat and walk around. Once we got here from our first flight, we found that we were perfectly content just hanging out and eating in the hotel’s restaurant.
It turned out to be a great choice.
The restaurant is located right by the entrance which makes it easy to get to and easy to find.
There is bar seating as well as tables with wait service. It was a great spot to relax and enjoy our meal.
After a day of traveling, I started out our meal with one of their custom cocktail offerings. And hubs had a good old fashioned beer to enjoy. All these cocktails are great and go perfect with the sports-themed bar.
And we went with a basic appetizer to share.
Our main dishes were just as good and filling. It was a great place to relax and talk about the excitement of our upcoming trip to Sandals Royal Curaçao.
I will say that the bill was rather pricey, and it probably would have been cheaper elsewhere. But the food was really good and you just can’t beat the convenience of the location. I know that when we bring our boys for our Beaches Turks & Caicos trip in September, we will plan on eating here.
Let’s Take A Stroll Around The Grounds
After dinner, we took a stroll around the hotel grounds before we headed back up to our room. It was a perfect way to work off our dinner and get to enjoy the beautiful Miami weather.
If you are looking to get in a workout, they have a decent sized gym area inside.
A covered area makes the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun.
Ready to enjoy some water activities? There is a lovely gated pool area with a tropical vibe. If I wasn’t so tired I would have put on my suit and headed out there.
The landscaping around the area was so pretty & a perfect thing to enjoy before heading to your room.
Speaking of rooms, let’s talk about the room suite we stayed in for this trip.
Review Of The King Bed Guest Suite At The Courtyard Miami Aiport
I decided to book the lowest level room category for this trip because we were only spending one evening. Sometimes you aren’t always sure what you will get, and we ended up with a nice spot for our overnight stay.
There is a large work area for any computer work you might have to do while on your trip. When we stayed here, I was just in the middle of travel agent training, so I took a few moments to check in with emails. If you have more intensive work, there is plenty of space to work.
There is a comfortable chair and side table to curl up in while you read or watch TV.
The king-sized bed was comfortable and soft. There are extra pillows in the closet (which I found I needed because the pillows were too squishy for my comfort). There was the alarm clock and plug on one side of the bed, as well as reading lights.
A nice bar area for drinks and snacks.
In closet safe, as well as a rack for your luggage.
The bathroom was adequate sized and functional. A bit dated, but everything worked as it was intended. We had plenty of towels, and there was shampoo, conditioner, and body gel available in a dispenser in the tub.
For a one night stay, I really have no complaints. If you are looking for somewhere before a flight or cruise, you won’t be disappointed.
