I know I was a little unsure the first time I had to do it, so today I am sharing tips to make it easier for you.

Where Do I Go To Fill Out My Butler Preferences At Sandals Resorts?
IMPORTANT UPDATE AS OF SEPTEMBER 2025: ALL BUTLER PREFERENCES MUST BE COMPLETED ON THE APP, AS THEY ARE UPDATING THE ONLINE SYSTEM. YOU WILL SEE THE SIMILAR SECTIONS ON THE APP. TO MAKE USING THE APP EASIER, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Take a look at the categories and create a word document. Once you have everything the way you want them, then input them into the app.
The first thing you need to do after booking your trip is to sign up for the Sandals Select Rewards program. As your travel agent, I make sure you do that as soon as we are done booking your trip. You will use that same email and password to sign into your butler preferences.
Then you will head over to the Sandals Butler preferences link to get started. As you can see, it will take you to the login page.

What Does The Butler Preference Form Do For Me?
First things first, what is this butler preferences form? The form allows you to communicate your likes, dislikes, and specific needs to your assigned butler before your arrival. It’s an essential step to ensure your stay is tailored just for you. The preferences form typically covers various categories, including food and beverage preferences, room setup, activities, and any special requests.
Do I Absolutely Need To Do This Before I Arrive On Resort?
Without a doubt, yes you do if you want to have the best possible experience! By filling out this form accurately, you’re setting your butler up for success. They want to know how to serve you best, so this is your chance to be as specific as possible! Think of it as your opportunity to communicate your vacation dreams and desires directly to the person who will help make them come true.

When you receive your butler preferences form, you’ll notice several categories to fill out. Let’s break down each section for clarity.
1. Food and Beverage Preferences
This is your chance to ensure your culinary experience is nothing short of spectacular!
- Dietary Restrictions: If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc.), make sure to highlight them. For example, “I’m allergic to shellfish” or “I prefer a vegan diet” will help your butler suggest appropriate dining options. As your travel advisor, I will also clearly communicate to the resort about those needs.
- Favorite Cuisines: Do you love Italian, Caribbean, Asian, or perhaps a mix? Include your favorites! You could write, “I adore Italian food, especially pasta dishes.”
- Drink Preferences: Specify your favorite cocktails, wines, or non-alcoholic beverages. Something like, “I love mojitos and enjoy a glass of Chardonnay with dinner” will help your butler stock your room bar accordingly. For me, a chocolate martini is my go-to before dinner beverage. Your comfort is extremely important when it comes to your butlers, and having the best possible room is part of that.
- Bedding Preferences: Do you prefer soft or firm pillows? Do you need a mattress topper? Are you cold all the time? Ask for extra blankets to be in your room. State your preferences clearly, and it will make for a better experience for all of you.
- Room Amenities: Do you prefer more bath products? Have allergies or sensitivities? Make them known before you ever set foot on the resort and you can be assured of a better experience.

Lots of the butlers will even set up a private dinner on your balcony or in your room, and having that on the butler preferences prior to arrival makes it that much easier for them to do that. One of the things I can do for you is prebook a candlelight dinner to celebrate your special event. Your butlers will coordinate it with the resort staff for a seamless experience.

- Privacy Preferences: Some guests enjoy privacy, while others love chatting with their butler. Let them know your style. Most of the rooms have a doorbell system that includes a Do Not Disturb feature, and the butlers are trained to honor them.
