Beaches Resorts FAQs: What Families Really Want To Know Before Booking
Planning a family vacation comes with a mix of excitement and quiet worry. You want something fun, relaxing, and memorable, but you also want to know it will actually work for your family. Will the kids be happy. Will everyone be comfortable. Will you get to relax, even a little. And will the whole thing feel easy once you arrive.
When families start looking at Beaches Resorts, the questions tend to go beyond the pretty pictures. People want to picture their days. How mornings start. How meals work. Where kids spend their time. What evenings feel like. These are the real questions that help families decide if this kind of vacation is the right fit.

Having taken our own family to Beaches Resorts, I know how amazing the resorts are. It may seem quite overwhelming at first when you start looking. I wanted to create a resource where you can get some of those common questions answered and help with the planning process.
When we went to Beaches Resorts for the first time, we were an older family with adults. Our kids still had the best time ever. We had questions before our first trip, and now that I have many of those answers, I thought I would share them with you.
Do Beaches Resorts Include Airport Transfers?
Yes, airport transfers are included with your Beaches Resorts stay, and this alone takes a lot of pressure off travel day. After a flight, clearing customs, and gathering bags, it’s a relief to know you don’t have to figure out transportation in a new place.
Once you arrive, you’re guided to your transfer and brought directly to the resort. No guessing where to go, no juggling directions with tired kids, and no worrying about fitting everything into a car. For families traveling with strollers, car seats, or multiple bags, this makes a big difference.
If your child needs a car seat or booster seat for transfer, letting me know early makes a big difference. I can request these items for you so it is one less thing that you need to think about.

What Ages Are Accepted At Beaches Kids Clubs?
Beaches Resorts offer kids programs starting as young as six months and going all the way through the teen years. This is one of the biggest reasons families choose Beaches, because every age group truly has its own space and activities.
Infants and toddlers have programs designed around gentle play, routines, and comfort. Preschool and elementary age kids enjoy creative activities, games, and outdoor fun that keeps them engaged without feeling overwhelming. Teens have their own lounges and hangout spaces that feel independent and age appropriate, which helps them feel included rather than stuck tagging along with adults.

Parents are often surprised by how much their kids enjoy the kids clubs. Many children ask to go back each day, which gives parents time to relax knowing their kids are happy, supervised, and having fun.
Are Kids Clubs At Beaches Resorts Supervised And Safe?
Yes, kids clubs at Beaches Resorts are fully supervised by trained staff. This is something parents care deeply about, especially when traveling internationally.
Staff members are experienced in working with children, and activities are structured in a way that balances fun with safety. Programs are organized by age group so kids are participating in activities that make sense for them, both socially and developmentally.

For many parents, this peace of mind is what allows them to truly enjoy their own downtime. One thing to do is when you arrive, take your child’s passport to Camp Sesame to get them signed up and ready to go if they want to participate in these activities.
Are All Meals Really Included At Beaches Resorts?
Yes, all meals and snacks are included throughout your stay. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks during the day are all part of the experience. The dining options at Beaches Turks and Caicos will make sure that no one goes hungry and that they can always find something to eat, including those that may have food allergies or dietary restrictions.
What families appreciate most is how flexible it feels. Kids can eat when they’re hungry, picky eaters usually find something they like, and parents aren’t trying to plan every meal around reservations or budgets. Some meals are quick and casual, others are sit down dinners, and you can decide as you go.

It removes a lot of daily stress and allows everyone to enjoy their time without constantly thinking about “what are we going to eat now”.
Are Drinks Included At Beaches Resorts?
Yes, drinks are included throughout the resort. This includes water, juice, soda, smoothies, coffee, tea, mocktails, and alcoholic beverages for adults. There are so many fun places to get something to drink, whether it’s the kids’ swim up bar at Bobby Dee’s or Curls n’ Swirls at the Pirate’s Island waterpark.

For families, this just makes the day flow better. Kids can grab a drink after the pool, adults can enjoy something by the beach, and no one is thinking about extra charges. Everything feels simple and included. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in how relaxed the vacation feels.
What’s NOT Included At Beaches Resorts?
While Beaches Resorts has a lot that is included in the cost of your vacation, there are things that do come at an additional cost. Here are a few of those extras:
- Spa Treatments
- Optional Tours
- Golf Caddies (mandatory for golfers), transfer to and from the course, and greens fees
- Medical Assistance*
- Gift Shop Items
- Phone Calls
- Scuba Certification or Refresher Courses
* The resident nurse’s services are complimentary but there is a charge for medication and doctor’s consultations should those be necessary.
Do Beaches Resorts Offer Babysitting Services?
Yes, babysitting services are available at Beaches Resorts and are separate from the kids clubs. This gives parents the option to enjoy some time on their own if they choose.
Some families use babysitting for a quiet dinner, others for a show or a walk along the beach. Parents of younger children often appreciate knowing this option exists, even if they never end up using it. Having flexibility like this helps the trip feel more balanced.

These services come at an additional cost based on the amount of time and number of children. When you register at Camp Sesame, they will give you the current pricing.
Is WiFi Included At Beaches Resorts?
WiFi is included throughout Beaches Resorts, including guest rooms and common areas. It works well for checking messages, sharing photos, and staying in touch with family back home.
Like most resort networks, speeds can vary depending on time of day and location. Many families actually like this balance because it keeps kids more present while still allowing access when needed. It’s enough connection without pulling everyone out of vacation mode.
What If Someone In The Family Is Not A Strong Swimmer?
Beaches Resorts are very comfortable for guests who aren’t strong swimmers. Pools often have shallow entry areas, and beaches typically include calm spots where you can wade and relax. They also have life vests that you can borrow from the water sports desk to use in the ocean.
There are also water play areas designed specifically for kids who want to splash without needing to swim in deeper water. Parents often feel reassured knowing their children can enjoy the water safely and at their own pace. The splash pad at the waterpark is perfect for that situation!

This makes Beaches Resorts a good fit for families with mixed comfort levels around water. You will be absolutely captivated by the blue ocean, and it really is a great way to introduce the little ones to the ocean. It is flat, the sand is clean, and the waves are generally nice when it isn’t a stormy day. You can see fish swimming around right from the beach and it was so neat to hear the squeals of wonder and joy from the kiddos.
Can You Book Excursions Through Beaches Resorts?
Yes, excursions can be booked directly through Beaches Resorts, and for many families this ends up being the easiest and most comfortable way to explore beyond the resort. Beaches Resorts partners with Island Routes, which is the on site excursion provider you’ll see at the resort. Their desk is easy to find, and the team is there specifically to help guests choose experiences that fit their schedule, interests, and comfort level.

What families appreciate most is how easy it is to book excursion, both pre-arrival and once you are on resort.. Transportation is arranged for you, pick up and return times are clearly explained, and you’re not left wondering where to meet or how long you’ll be gone. That matters a lot when you’re traveling with kids, because it keeps the day predictable and avoids unnecessary stress. If weather shifts or plans need to adjust, everything is coordinated through the resort, so you’re not trying to track down a third party on your own.
Many families choose to book one or two excursions during their stay and spend the rest of their time enjoying the resort. This gives kids something exciting to look forward to while still keeping most days relaxed and unstructured. Island Routes offers a wide range of options, from shorter outings that work well for younger kids to more adventurous experiences for older children and teens, which makes it easier to find something that feels right for your family.
Booking excursions this way also gives parents peace of mind. The experiences are well organized, family friendly, and designed to work smoothly with resort schedules. For first time visitors especially, it’s a nice balance of getting out and seeing the destination without adding extra planning or worry to your trip.
What Is The Dress Code At Beaches Resorts Restaurants?
During the day, dining at Beaches Resorts is very relaxed. Swimwear, cover ups, shorts, and casual tops are perfectly fine at most restaurants, especially those near the pool and beach. Families often move straight from activities to meals without changing, and no one feels out of place doing so.
In the evenings, some restaurants do have a dress code, but it’s far more flexible than many people expect. The most common dress code you’ll see is either resort casual or resort dress, and checking the specific restaurant’s guidelines helps set expectations. Resort casual generally means clean, neat clothing without being dressed up. Resort dress is a slight step above that, but still comfortable and family friendly.

For teens and tweens, polo shirts or nice tops paired with dress shorts work very well in the evenings. Sneakers or other closed toe shoes are usually acceptable and practical. For adult men, long pants are rarely required. Nice dress shorts with a collared shirt are typically fine at most restaurants, and closed toe shoes are the main thing to plan for. Women often choose casual dresses, skirts, or dressy tops and shorts with sandals.
Most families find that packing a few evening outfits for each person is more than enough. Once you see how relaxed the atmosphere really is, the dress code becomes something you barely think about. It’s designed to keep the dining experience comfortable and polished, not to make anyone feel overdressed or stressed.
Are Tips Required At Beaches Resorts?
For most services at Beaches Resorts, tipping is not required because gratuities are already included in your stay. This applies to the majority of on site staff, including servers, bartenders, housekeeping, and the dive team. These team members follow a no tipping policy, and offering cash tips can actually put them in an uncomfortable position.
It’s especially important to know that dive staff should not be tipped. They are part of the Beaches Resorts team and fall under the same no tipping guidelines as other resort staff. While it may feel natural to want to tip after a great experience, doing so can put their job at risk. A much better way to recognize excellent service from staff who cannot accept tips is by mentioning them by name on GINA or TripAdvisor. Those mentions are meaningful and can lead to recognition and bonuses behind the scenes.
There are a few situations where tipping is appropriate. Butlers and spa staff may be tipped at your discretion if you feel they provided exceptional, personalized service. Tipping is also acceptable for drivers handling your airport transfers and for guides during excursions, since they are not Beaches Resorts employees. These individuals operate separately, and tipping them is common and appropriate.
The most important thing to remember is that you never need to guess or feel awkward. Tipping is not expected for most services, and when it is appropriate, it’s optional. When someone goes above and beyond but cannot accept a tip, a thoughtful mention by name is one of the best ways to say thank you and helps them in ways cash cannot.

Are Beaches Resorts LGBTQ Friendly?
Beaches Resorts are welcoming and inclusive for all families. Guests from many backgrounds feel comfortable on property, and the atmosphere is relaxed and respectful. Families often share that they feel at ease being themselves, which is an important part of enjoying a vacation together.
Can You Bring Your Own Alcohol To Beaches Resorts?
Guests may bring a limited amount of alcohol for personal use depending on local guidelines, but most families don’t find this necessary. Beaches Resorts include a wide variety of beverages throughout the property.
For families who enjoy a specific bottle of wine or want something special for a celebration, bringing one can make sense. For most guests, the included options are more than enough. Once you arrive, this concern usually fades quickly.
What Types Of Family Rooms Are Available At Beaches Resorts?
The room you choose at Beaches Resorts has a big impact on how the entire vacation feels, especially when you’re traveling as a family. These resorts are designed with families in mind, which means the rooms go far beyond a standard hotel setup. Instead of trying to make everyone fit into one space, Beaches offers layouts that give families room to breathe, spread out, and actually relax at the end of the day.
For families with younger children, family suites are often the most comfortable option. These rooms are designed so parents and kids can share the space without feeling on top of each other. Many include separate sleeping areas, pullout sofas, trundle beds, or bunk beds that kids genuinely get excited about. Having defined spaces makes bedtime easier and gives parents a chance to unwind after the kids are settled.

Larger families or those traveling with grandparents usually do best in two bedroom or multi bedroom suites. These rooms allow everyone to stay together while still having privacy. Multiple bathrooms and separate living areas make mornings less hectic and evenings more relaxed. It’s especially helpful when different generations have different schedules or routines, because no one feels rushed or crowded.
Connecting rooms are another great option, particularly for families with older kids or teens. This setup gives kids a sense of independence while still keeping parents close by. It works well for longer stays, when having a bit of personal space can make a big difference in how comfortable everyone feels.
For families looking to make the experience even easier, concierge and butler level suites add an extra layer of support. These room categories come with help coordinating dining plans, handling special requests, and smoothing out little details that families might otherwise need to manage themselves. They’re often chosen for multigenerational trips or special celebrations where convenience really matters.
Some Beaches Resorts also offer villa style accommodations, which are ideal for extended families or groups traveling together. These provide more square footage, shared living spaces, and a more home like feel while still offering access to all the resort amenities. For families who value space and comfort, villas can elevate the entire trip.
When families look back on their Beaches vacation, the room often plays a bigger role than they expected. Having enough space to relax, store luggage, and unwind together helps the vacation feel calm instead of chaotic. Choosing the right room isn’t just about where you sleep, it’s about creating a comfortable base that supports everything else you want to enjoy during your stay.
How Far In Advance Should You Book Beaches Resorts?
For most families, the earlier you book, the easier everything feels. Beaches Resorts are especially popular during school breaks, summer, and holiday weeks, and those dates tend to fill up quickly. Booking ahead gives you more room choices and more flexibility, which really matters when you’re traveling with kids.
Many families book anywhere from several months to about a year in advance, especially if they’re traveling during peak times or need a specific room setup. Larger family suites and connecting rooms are usually the first to go, so waiting too long can mean settling for something that doesn’t quite fit your family.
Another nice benefit of booking early is being able to spread payments out over time. Instead of paying for everything at once, you can chip away at it gradually, which feels a lot more manageable for most families. Once everything is booked, there’s also a sense of relief. You know where you’re going, your room is secured, and you can focus on getting excited instead of worrying about availability.
Are Beaches Resorts Worth The Cost For Families?
This is one of the biggest questions families wrestle with, and it’s completely fair. On paper, Beaches Resorts can feel like a big investment. Where the value really shows up is once you start adding everything together and imagining how the trip actually unfolds.
Meals, drinks, kids clubs, water parks, activities, entertainment, airport transfers, and day to day logistics are all included at Beaches Resorts. That means you’re not paying for every meal, every snack, every activity, or every ride once you arrive. For families, those little costs add up fast on a traditional vacation. At Beaches Resorts, they’re already covered, which makes it much easier to relax and enjoy the moment instead of constantly doing mental math.

As I said earlier, we went as a family of adults and it was one of the BEST family vacations we ever went on. We still talk about all the fun we had, the food we ate, the activities we did, and did I mention the food?
What parents often say after they get home is that the value wasn’t just financial. It was emotional. Kids were happy and entertained, parents weren’t stressed about schedules or budgets, and everyone felt like they could just enjoy being together. Days flowed naturally, plans could change without consequences, and no one felt like they were missing out because of cost.
When families look back on their Beaches Resorts vacation, they rarely talk about what it cost. They talk about how easy it felt, how much fun their kids had, and how rare it was to come home feeling rested instead of worn out. That’s where the real value lives, and it’s what makes Beaches Resorts worth it for so many families.
