About Jennifer Of Shoreline Journeys-What I Bring To The Planning Table

My family is my strength and supports me on my travel journeys. I met the love of my life & best friend in 1993, we graduated college together, started our grown-up jobs, and were married in 1997. We traveled to Jamaica for our honeymoon and stayed at the Sandals Royal Jamaican (now the Sandals Royal Caribbean) and it started our journey together.

Wow, we were so young! Not too long after that we bought our home and started our family. Life was busy and we did most of our traveling within the US for the almost 20 years after we took this picture.

We have 2 amazing sons that make our life exciting and fun. Our oldest has graduated from Penn State University, our youngest from East Stroudsburg University.

Why I Am Specializing In Sandals & Beaches Resorts As A Travel Advisor

Throughout the years, we always said that we would go back to Jamaica to celebrate our 20th anniversary. In 2017, we packed our bags and headed back to the Sandals Royal Caribbean where we had an amazing vow renewal ceremony and 5 restful and relaxing nights.

It was during this trip that we started our travel journeys to Sandals Resorts as a later-life couple. So far, we have visited:

• Sandals Montego Bay (Twice)
• Sandals Emerald Bay (This resort has since closed and will be becoming Beaches Exuma)
• Sandals Grande St. Lucian

• Beaches Turks & Caicos
• Sandals Grenada (hint: this is currently my FAVORITE resort)

As a travel agent, I have had the opportunity to visit the following resorts:

• Sandals Negril( I stayed at this resort during a training event)
• Beaches Negril
• Beaches Ocho Rios (This resort is now permanently closed)

I have also had the opportunity to participate in the Reading Road Trip program, Pack for a Purpose, and visit the Upton Estate Golf & Country Club.

We have repeat trips back to Sandals Halcyon and Sandals Grande Antigua in 2026! We are also returning to Sandals Royal Caribbean in 2027 for our 30th anniversary and a vow renewal and Sandals Curaçao with a group trip with friends in late 2027). I also recently added a trip to Sandals South Coast for 2028!

Wildwood NJ is our favorite US destination. We have been going there as an extended family vacation since the Summer of 1999 (with the exception of 2020, but we don’t want to talk about that). It is a trip we look forward to ever year. We travel with my in-laws and have the best time ever. It is my chance to catch up on some reading. We have been staying at the same beach motel for almost all of our trips.

Other Important Family Members

We also have 2 ginger cats that rule our house. I like to say that they deign to let us live here while we cater to their every need. We raised these guys from 3 weeks old and yeah, we let them lord over us. Who can say no to such cute faces?

And in case you are wondering, they are named after Fred & George Weasley in the Harry Potter series. They are just as mischievous as their namesakes, but we love them anyway.

• I am a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan.
• There is nothing that makes me happier than chocolate. Except maybe coffee. If you combine the two, you will become an instant friend to me.
• I previously blogged at the website Juggling Midlife. I thought I was done. But I missed it too much (and a new opportunity popped up out of the blue), so here I am at Shoreline Journeys. You can read the whys of Shoreline Journeys to see how I came up with the name.
• I am an only child.
• I love going to concerts with my husband, and my taste in music is so eclectic your head would spin.
• Our household are big Star Wars fans, especially my husband. Darth Vader and Grogu are favorites.
• I read. A lot. And my tastes are all over the place. While I generally like my light beach reads, my former co-worker got me hooked on Frieda McFadden. I also started enjoying some rom-coms by Emily Henry & Elena Armas, just to name a few.
